We would like to share a couple of traditional Irish music transcriptions for button accordions. Our selection is from some of our favorite accordion players and we only focus on sets that work nicely on a B/C accordion and are fun to play. Be aware, these sets are quite advanced.

However if you are a beginner, we can recommend you to have a look at our teaching or tabulature page. We can also provide more detailed information on fingerings and bass notes, as well as ornamentation. Feel free to contact us if you want us to add more traditional Irish music transcriptions for button accordions.

HUP BROSNA – Danny O’Mahony, Micheál Ó Raghallaigh and Macdara Ó Raghallaigh (Reels)

John McCann – The nervous man & John Dwyer’s

The Kilfenora Ceili Band – Crucaha Glas Na Héireann

We can highly recommend Henrik Norbeck’s website which is the highest quality Irish traditional music archive. It’s very comprehensive, organized and most importantly, the transcriptions are very accurate.

If you instead feel like playing some Irish music, or just listen and enjoy the atmosphere, there are many places around the world that offers sessions. By using The Sessions search page you can certainly find the nearest place to visit.
