I would like to share a couple of traditional Irish music transcriptions Melodeon Sheet Music and Tabulaturefor button accordions. My selection is from some of my favorite accordion players and I only focus on sets that work nicely on a B/C accordion and fun to play. Be aware, these sets are quite advanced. However if you are a beginner, I can recommend you to have a look at my teaching or tabulature page. I can also provide with more detailed information on fingerings and bass notes, as well as ornamentation. Feel to contact me if you want me to add more traditional Irish music transcriptions for button accordions.

HUP BROSNA – Danny O’Mahony, Micheál Ó Raghallaigh and Macdara Ó Raghallaigh (Reels)

John McCann – The nervous man & John Dwyer’s

The Kilfenora Ceili Band – Crucaha Glas Na Héireann

I wish you great fun with these tunes!

I can highly recommend Henrik Norbeck’s website which is the highest quality Irish traditional music archive. It’s very comprehensive, organized and most importantly, the transcriptions are very accurate. If you instead feel like playing some Irish music, or just listen and enjoy the atmosphere, there are many places around the world that offers sessions. By using The Sessions search page you can certainly find the nearest place to visit. Who knows, maybe we will meet one day at the Amsterdam session as I go there on regular basis.
